“You are a very strong voice for art.”
—Pulitzer Prize-winning art critic, Jerry Saltz (on Ange)
Artine is a boutique consultancy specializing in art advisory services, innovative projects, and complex transactions.
Founder Angela Redai Barnhart, Esq. leverages her deep art market understanding, business acumen, legal expertise, and wide network to advise on building spectacular, meaningful collections while making smart asset allocation decisions.
Ange has spent over a decade working with collectors, art dealers, institutions, entrepreneurs, investors, and creatives—from mega-collectors and blue-chip galleries to emerging artists and start-ups. Ange cut her teeth as a corporate attorney at a major law firm in her 20s, before her lifelong passion for art led her to a multifaceted role in art law, intellectual property, and commercial transactions. For many years, her practice ranged from sophisticated deals involving multimillion-dollar artwork to investments in cutting-edge companies. Since launching Artine in 2020, Ange has guided a select group of private clients on all facets of art acquisitions and launched remarkable art-focused projects in luxury retail, media, and hospitality. Her enduring love of art has taken her from artist studios in Brooklyn to Naoshima Island in Japan.
Ange holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, a J.D. from Penn Law, and a Certificate in Business from the Wharton School. She is frequently invited to lecture, and her speaking engagements have included Christie’s Art+Tech Summit, Columbia University, NYU, The Armory Show, Christie’s Education, and the University of Pennsylvania.
